Nature offers a wealth of valuable oils that are known for their nourishing and healing properties. Cacay oil, marula oil and baobab oil are three of these valuable treasures that nature has in store for us. They come from South America and Africa respectively and offer unique benefits for skin and hair.

Cacay oil

Cacay oil is extracted from the seeds of the cacay tree (Caryodendron orinocense), which grows mainly in the rainforests of South America, particularly in Colombia. The seeds are collected, dried and cold-pressed to extract the valuable oil.

Cacay oil is rich in vitamin E, linoleic acid (omega-6 fatty acid) and retinol (vitamin A). These ingredients make the oil particularly effective in promoting skin regeneration, reducing wrinkles and improving skin elasticity. Cacay oil is often referred to as an anti-ageing miracle and is known for its light, non-greasy properties.

Marula oil

Marula oil comes from the seeds of the fruit of the marula tree (Sclerocarya birrea), which is native to the savannahs of Africa, particularly in South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Botswana. After harvesting the fruit, the seeds are pressed to extract the oil.

Marula oil contains a high concentration of oleic acid (omega-9 fatty acid) as well as vitamin C and vitamin E. It is particularly moisturizing and nourishing, making it ideal for mature and demanding skin. It is known as the elixir of youth and as it also has anti-inflammatory properties, it can help soothe skin irritations.

Marula oil is ideal for moisturizing and regenerating demanding skin. Its high vitamin C content supports the skin’s own collagen production.

Baobab oil

Baobab oil is extracted from the seeds of the baobab tree (Adansonia digitata), which grows in many parts of Africa. After the fruit of the baobab tree has been harvested, the seeds are removed and cold-pressed to extract the oil.

Baobab oil is rich in omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids as well as vitamin E and vitamin D. This combination makes it an excellent oil for promoting skin health, including improving skin elasticity and healing scars. Baobab oil has antioxidant properties that can help protect the skin from environmental damage. It can counteract premature skin ageing in three ways.
